Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Live-in Caregiver to provide personalized care and assistance to an elderly woman in Shelton, CT. The client is looking for someone who is upbeat and able to help her with personal care and tasks around the home. This position is 7 days per week and pays $249 per day. She does need someone who can drive her to doctor appointments - You can drive the client's car. A clean driving record is required for this position.

Qualifications: 
  • A love for the senior community
  • A compassionate and upbeat attitude
  • Strong commitment to reliability and ethical behavior
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
  • Dedication to professional development
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in care giving for seniors
  • Ability to lift 30-40 pounds
  • Possess a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, valid auto insurance and a good driving record
  • Possess a State ID, and a valid second form of ID, such as a Social Security Card, Passport, or Birth Certificate
  • Eligible to work in the United States for any employer
  • Pass a background check and drug testing per company standards

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Our Caregivers are responsible for providing hands-on, non-medical, quality care to clients of Collaborative Home Care.
  • Caregivers provide care based on the plan of care for their clients, which includes activities of daily living such as personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, medication reminders)
  • Companion care (e.g. conversation, hobbies and activities, shopping).
  • Caregivers must be able to work with minimal supervision, accepting personal responsibility for the maintenance of a professional relationship with the client in accordance with Collaborative Home Care policies and standards.
